FACT Podcast: Reflecting on the UCU Master's Experience

 

The FACT Podcast is an audio-visual discussion that brings together students from the Master of Journalism and Strategic Communications programme at Uganda Christian University to reflect on their academic journey. Moderated by Rahim Nwali and featuring Joshua Mirondo, Julius Nkugwa, and Gloria Nakibuuka, the conversation explores the realities of pursuing a master's degree through the University's blended learning model.

The discussion covers students' experiences with the 70:30 online and physical learning approach, challenges with Moodle and online coursework submissions, attendance and participation requirements, the need for physical presence during registration and payment, and the pressure created by overlapping coursework deadlines. The panel also shares practical recommendations on improving student support, communication, and the overall learning experience.

Produced as part of a multimedia coursework project, the podcast demonstrates effective interviewing, discussion moderation, and collaborative production while providing an honest, student-centered perspective on postgraduate education at UCU
